Justo ese a\u00f1o, un muy joven Rinaldo Piaggio se hizo cargo del negocio de su padre y lo convirti\u00f3 en una empresa de muebles navales. Los ebanistas de Piaggio crean el mobiliario de lujosos barcos italianos y extranjeros, sin embargo, no parece haber m\u00e1s oportunidades de crecimiento en este sector. As\u00ed, Rinaldo decidi\u00f3 ampliar sus emprendimientos en el sector ferroviario, con\u00a0la\u00a0construcci\u00f3n y reparaci\u00f3n de vagones. Desde 1915, Piaggio se dedic\u00f3 a la reparaci\u00f3n y construcci\u00f3n de hidroaviones y en 1917 compr\u00f3 una empresa aeron\u00e1utica en Pisa. Esta nueva producci\u00f3n permiti\u00f3 a Piaggio superar la crisis de la posguerra y adquirir otra empresa,\u00a0Pegna-Bonmartini,\u00a0con\u00a0trabajadores y t\u00e9cnicos.<\/p>\n<section id=\"uuid-139a8227-8ab9-47a4-9964-6c397abbc7a0\" class=\"section section-editorial  section--background\">\n<div class=\"section__container\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<div class=\"editorial editorial--align-center editorial--image-large\">\n<div class=\"editorial__content\">\n<div class=\"editorial__text text--body text-only\">\n<p>Entre estos Giovanni\u00a0Pegna, un dise\u00f1ador e ingeniero aeron\u00e1utico de gran talento que\u00a0pronto produjo el monoplano de combate P2 (Piaggio 2), que evolucion\u00f3 hasta convertirse en\u00a0el P7, el hidroavi\u00f3n de carreras Piaggio, y el P 108 de cuatro motores, el \u00faltimo gran avi\u00f3n de los fabricantes italianos antes de la Segunda Guerra Mundial.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"uuid-ee5bb6a5-868e-4c53-84be-40d633177a36\" class=\"section section-editorial  section--background\">\n<div class=\"section__container\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<div class=\"editorial editorial--align-center editorial--image-large\">\n<div class=\"editorial__content\">\n<p class=\"editorial__subheading\"><strong>La planta de Pontedera<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"editorial__text text--body text-only\">\n<p>El \u00e9xito de la producci\u00f3n convenci\u00f3 a Rinaldo de dar un paso m\u00e1s para el crecimiento de Piaggio y en 1924 compr\u00f3 la planta nacional de ingenier\u00eda mec\u00e1nica en\u00a0Pontedera. Este \u00faltimo se distingui\u00f3 de inmediato y cre\u00f3 en 1930, junto con otros inventores, uno de los primeros prototipos de helic\u00f3pteros del mundo. Fue precisamente en previsi\u00f3n del per\u00edodo de recuperaci\u00f3n y reconstrucci\u00f3n del pa\u00eds que Enrico Piaggio encarg\u00f3 un veh\u00edculo para viajes individuales. Al principio, Renzo\u00a0Spolti\u00a0dise\u00f1\u00f3\u00a0un scooter con un cuerpo de rodamiento firmado MP (Moto Piaggio, en las variantes MP1 \/ MP5), apodado \u201cPaperino\u201d. Sin estar convencido del resultado, Enrico le pidi\u00f3 a\u00a0Corradino\u00a0d\u2019Ascanio\u00a0que revisara el proyecto. As\u00ed fue como en 1945 naci\u00f3 el prototipo del MP6, un scooter con muchas innovaciones derivadas de la aeron\u00e1utica. En 1967 se present\u00f3 el Ciao, un veh\u00edculo m\u00e1s parecido a una\u00a0bicicleta que hab\u00eda dise\u00f1ado\u00a0d&#8217;Ascanio\u00a0en 1955 y que\u00a0permaneci\u00f3 en producci\u00f3n, casi sin cambios, hasta 2006. En 1992, Piaggio cambi\u00f3 de las tres ruedas del\u00a0Ape\u00a0a las cuatro del Porter y enriqueci\u00f3 a\u00fan m\u00e1s su producci\u00f3n con el\u00a0Hexagon\u00a01994, el primer\u00a0maxiscooter\u00a0en la historia de Piaggio. Los diferentes modos de conducci\u00f3n ofrecidos permiten diferentes tipos de interacci\u00f3n entre las dos unidades, en beneficio del rendimiento y la autonom\u00eda. Finalmente, Piaggio contin\u00faa reduciendo las emisiones tambi\u00e9n en 2018 con la Vespa\u00a0Elettrica. Un\u00a0scooter\u00a0el\u00e9ctrico con 100 km de autonom\u00eda, solo 4 horas para una recarga total y un rendimiento superior al de un\u00a0scooter\u00a0tradicional de 50cc.
